O’Reilly to Trump: Do You Understand the African-American Experience?

Donald Trump joined The O’Reilly Factor to talk about race and what the presumptive GOP nominee would do as president to address current divisions.

Trump said the current situation between black and white Americans is "very sad."
"Hopefully it can be healed. We have a divider as a president. He’s the great divider, I’ve said it for a long time. And it’s probably not been much worse at any time. So it’s a very sad situation."

When Bill O’Reilly asked Trump what his plan would be to lessen racial tensions, Trump faulted the country’s lack of "spirit."

"The country has no spirit. We need a cheerleader, not a divider," he said.
Trump said that it could be that the system is rigged against blacks, and said he could relate to that.

"Do you think you understand the African American experience?" O’Reilly asked.
Trump said that he’d "like to say yes, but you really can’t unless you’re African-American."

Trump also said that Black Lives Matter was "very divisive" and were "dividing America."
