Cameroonian football legend Rigobert Song, 40, has been fighting for his life after suffering cerebral aneurysm at his home in Yaounde, Cameroon, which sent him into a coma.

The former Indomitable Lions skipper has been in a coma for the last three days but reports indicate he has gotten out of the situation.
He was admitted to Yaounde Central Hospital

According to Dr Louis Joss Bitang Mafok, director of the hospital’s emergency centre, Song has come out of the coma and the oxygen he was supplied with has been cut.
"He has come out of his coma and the oxygen has been disconnected. His high blood pressure has returned to normal and the cerebral haemorrhage has been controlled,” the doctor said as quoted by BBC.

Song has already been transferred to France for specialized treatment.
Song is regarded as one of the finest centre-backs in African football. He played 137 times for Cameroon.

He played for Liverpool and West Ham United during his days.
