Nude outrage as new TV show Undressed makes contestants strip and talk sex

Undressed has already been blasted by campaigners before it debuts later this week

Airing in the wake of the sex-fuelled Love Island, Undressed is making its debut this week and it’s already causing furore as it makes its contestants strip and talk about sex.

The premise of the TLC show is to strip away inhibitions, and Undressed has already been blasted as a “depressing example” of how low TV bosses will go for ratings.

Shows like Love Island, which aired contestants having rampant sex on the ITV2 reality show, were savaged by critics but its ratings went through the roof. One of the show’s contestants – Zara Holland – was even stripped of her Miss Great Britain title because of her x-rated antics while in the Love Island house.

Now, new show Undressed has already raised eyebrows. Chris McGovern, of the Campaign for Real Education, told the Daily Star: “It’s a pretty depressing example of the extent to which TV companies chase ratings and lose sense of their social and moral responsibility.”

Meanwhile, TV boss Mark Procter from Discovery Networks International has billed it as primetime viewing and promised it’ll be an explosive show.

“A dark room. A bed. A screen. Singleton strangers that undress each other on a fi rst date. It’s a gloriously simple format but an irresistibly watchable show,” he said.
Undressed is set to air on Friday at 10pm on TLC.
